FloorWhich of the game’s five floors the crawlers are on. Loot, shops and the page’s theme follow it. Type a number to jump to it.

Crawler levelThe party’s average level. The System AI pitches its specials and personal touches to it.

Prices ×Price multiplier. Every price is the house scale times this number. 1 is normal; 0.5 for a poor floor or a desperate merchant; 2 for a greedy one or a tourist trap. Box gold isn’t affected.

Box typeStandard: The everyday box: one main item (gear, a magic item or a scroll), one or two consumables, and the tier’s gold.Boss: For killing something big. The main item comes from one tier HIGHER, plus two healing consumables and a special for one crawler.Themed: Built around a theme you name (Goblin, Crafter’s, Lucky…): the theme picks the main item; the tier’s gold and consumables stay.

Setting (optional)Name the neighborhood and the boss. If they’re in the books, we match them in our records (a neighborhood’s floor; a boss’s type, level and damage traits) so the box fits. Only those facts are used, never book text.

This is my own custom contentYour homebrew neighborhood or boss: we skip matching against the books and the System AI invents freely.

Who it’s for (optional)The crawler this box is aimed at: a name, race, class or quirk. Boss boxes always carry one special just for them.

Notes for the System AIAnything you want it to consider for this box: the crawlers (names, classes, grudges, running jokes), what just happened, what you want or don’t want in it.Use a crawler’s character sheetPaste a sheet’s text, or attach one picture of it (or just press Ctrl+V with a screenshot on your clipboard). The System AI reads it and tailors the loot to that crawler’s class, skills, gear gaps and personality. Never stored.

One house scale so prices stay consistent from table to table: what a single item of each tier usually sells for, times your multiplier. Box gold is rolled on each tier’s dice.

About this tool

Unofficial. Dungeon Crawler Carl is created by Matt Dinniman. The Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG is published by Renegade Game Studios. This tool is not affiliated with or endorsed by either.

No copied content. No text from the rulebooks is in this tool. The books’ loot lists and sample gear name 108 specific items by our count, and none of them are reproduced here. Want those exact items? Buy the books: they’re worth it.

Built to fit. We studied the books’ items and economy (tiers, bonuses, healing, box gold) and scaled everything here to match, so it should drop straight into your campaign. Our catalog holds 260 original items, each rebuilt from the numbers alone, never the wording. The rest is written live by our System AI in the game’s spirit, without using licensed material.
